The article “Understanding Composing” is a review of an assignment that teachers did. The assignment was in order to get them to analyze their writing skills and what do they feel and think while writing. The analysis of some teacher shows that certain patterns seem to be used. Then teachers had to figure out what patterns were used, and what does this analysis would prove about the nature of composing.
The writing process is not more than a recursive process. If the writer want to go forward in the writing has to go backward to emphasize his ideas. To make it easier the writer has the option of reread his sentences and make more clear his next sentence. Other recurring method is to use key word called up by the topic. Another feature, that is not easy to detect, is the “felt sense”. It is not more than the feelings that are impressed in the writing. After getting the topic, writer can easily evoke memories, images and ideas. That is the “felt sense”.
The felt sense is always there in the writing of a writer. Writers are looking forward for their experiences, memories and emotions that they feel to print them in their writing. This process may happen, and writers hardly note it. The point of the felt sense is that writers do not have to force their selves to write. The felt sense is the thoughts that writers feel when they get their topics. It is what the topic inspires them.
How do you think your “felt sense” initiated?
As I already set the felt sense is a group of thoughts and feelings that writers recall when they get the topic. If I would get a topic about robotic I may write interesting points of building and programming robots and how they are useful, yet if I get a topic about weapons, I would write about shootings, war and dead. The felt sense is triggered by the experiences of the writer
Great Job!! I like how you described the recursive process
