Summary
First of all, through a typical feedback from students whom give to other students during responses groups, shows that a lot of teachers had difficulty getting students to respond effectively to one another's writing, but the students also complained about the writing response. For several years, an organizational technique with our peer response groups called PQP-Praise-Question-Polish had been using in high schools and colleges. It is a technique helps students focus on the task at hands as well as maintain a positive attitude toward the critique process. A lot of students said it is general but useful. Furthermore, the author explained the Generating Specific Response as three parts: Total Class Activity, Small Group Activity and Individual Work. After this initial introduction to specific responses, which took one class session, the students were ready for a collaborative peer response session. After the instruction, which included the class activity, small group activity and individual practice in writing specific comments are much better.
