 Summary:

Most of the people make general and useful comment in drafts. General comments are good enough to help the writer because they still gave some direction for revision to the writer, for example, "Describe Maria better", that's a general comment because is not very detailed but stills help the writer to get better. A low percentage of the comments are full of generalities, providing little or no specific direction for revision, for example, "Try to revise the entire second page," or "I liked this piece", that kind of comments doesn't help the writer at all, a good comment has to be very specific with a lot of details to show the things that the writer needs to work on, and the mistakes that he committed in the summary. An specific comment has to show the specific direction of revision to the writer, for example, "I still can't get a picture of Maria. What kind of clothes does she wear, and what do her hair and face look like?", that's a very specific comment because it shows all the important things that the writer has to work on and is very detailed. I think we should be very specific to help the writer, we should use details.

Question:

4. How would you describe a specific comment? Examples???

Response:

An specific comment should be very detailed and should help the writer to get better with his summaries. An specific comment provide the writer an specific direction of revision, for example, "I still can get a picture of the soccer game. What was the score, and who score the goals", this comments gives an specific direction to the writer on what he has to work on, and tell the writer to be more detailed.
