UNDERSTANDING COMPOSITION SUMMARY
At the begining of this article it is explaining about a writing teacher named Anne and what she had to do in her course that she was taking amongst twenty other writing teachers. Writers have many ways of writing, some have difficulty and others think it is very easy. Anne, along with her other writing teachers had to tape their thoughts. She taped her thoughts to be able to comprihense what she was writing and struggling on. The easiest way would be to go over what she reads and is writing. Anne wanted to be able to understand what she was was doing so she would always had questions, ask herself questions, and the traditional notation. She had to do her things in steps to finally understand what she was doing step by step. Test were difficult, she would ask, “Why are exams so anxiety provoking?” (pg.365; sen. 36), but then she starts figuring out what she needs to do to finally make sense. Inspiration is one thing that Anne needs to know that she is ready to write. Basically what this article is talking about is about a writing teacher who was struggling in her writing for many reasons.
Question 7: According to you, the plan-write-revise sequence in writing is equivalent to which process based on this writing?
Response: I think that the plan-write-revise sequence is equivalent to this process of writing in the fact that Anne had to plan what she was going to write or tape. Once she had her plan and did step by step, she had to write or tape it. When she finished writing or taping it, she would have to go back and revise it to know and make sure she had everything correct.
