Summary:
PEER RESPONSE: TEACHING SPECIFIC REVISION SUGGESTIONS
This article talks about something similar we have to do for this class on the blogger. We have to post comments on our peers in their summaries and blogs. This article also talks about the PQP which was introduce firstly to middle-school teachers and later on to college students. It helped the students to give better comment on their peers papers and improve their writing skill. The article gives us some clear examples of the improvement on the revision of papers with this method. Its separate in total class activity, individual work, Follow-up; in total class activity it tells us that specific responses are the useful because it gives the writer a specific direction for revision and tell the writer why the revision is necessary. The article also tells us about the individual work, its time where we use the ideas collected from our peers and make it better on our writings. The follow-up the article talks about is just telling us that they did the same process three weeks later.
Question:
Do small group activities work for me?
Response:
Personally I like working in groups we can express our ideas with our teammates and we can share our toughs. When we are revising our papers in small groups it helps me see my mistakes and it helps me improve my composition. I like giving ideas to my peers so I can give them some feedback on their work. In small groups we get to meet new people and we also get to know the way they write and the way they think about writing.
